Adolescent Literacy Toolkit Webinars

The Collaborative Center for Literacy Development (CCLD) is hosting a series of five FREE webinars to aid in the understanding of the resources in the purple Adolescent Literacy Toolkit.

In March 2009, every middle, high, and alternative school principal* in Kentucky was sent an Adolescent Literacy Toolkit. This purple kit contains resources and staff development ideas that link research to classroom practices demonstrated to improve academic achievement in adolescents. Each FREE, hour-long webinar will assist participants in exploring a specific issue related to adolescent literacy. Designed to assist educators and administrators in finding real solutions for real students, the Adolescent Literacy Toolkit focuses on effectively integrating literacy components across all content areas.

Once the webinars are hosted, they will be archived for further use.*Schools participating in the Striving Readers grant did not receive toolkits, but they will receive them at the conclusion of the grant research.
